The Robotic Intelligence Lab is a robotics group in the Division of Information Engineering at the University of Cambridge, opening in January 2027. We aim to give robots the intelligence and agility they need to do useful physical work in the real world.

Our current focus is aerial manipulation: developing robot learning methods that let teams of flying robots grip, lift, carry and rotate objects together, relying only on their own onboard sensors. In parallel, we continue to design new multi-modal robots whose bodies are shaped by the tasks they perform and the physics of the environments they work in. More on the Research page.

We are recruiting PhD students for October 2027. See Openings.
